Ruby Sunshine Brunch Review
Ruby Sunshine is our go-to for a low-key, quality Nashville brunch. Whether you’re starting your morning with a Mocha or a Mimosa, Ruby’s has you covered with possibly the best brunch in Nashville I’ve had so far. Our favorite is definitely the Creamy Vanilla Spiced Latte, which is great hot or iced.
Best Brunch in Nashville
Ruby Sunshine certainly makes our Top 10 list for best brunch in Nashville, Tennessee. I think the Biscuits and Gravy and the Bennies are bomb! Additionally, you can get your Biscuits & Gravy with a side of fried chicken. Also, be sure to add the Sweet Heat glaze for just a little spice. (Not to worry it’s not overly spicy!)
If you’re leaning towards the Eggs Benedict, my personal brunch recommendation is the Eggs Cochon. It’s slow-cooked, apple-braised pork served over a buttermilk biscuit, topped with two poached eggs, and finished with hollandaise. If you’re visiting Tennessee, it’s a good sample of southern flavor.
The locals love Ruby Sunshine, so a quick word of warning: be sure to arrive early, because it can fill up quick after shift change at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which is around the corner. You don’t want to get between a night-shift nurse and her morning coffee!
Ruby Sunshine Brunch Hours
As I mentioned previously, try to get there early — we try to be there before 8am. The closer to lunch you get, the busier Rubys can be. However, I think it’s still worth the wait if you catch them at a busy hour. Also, if you’re brunching solo or a party of 2, the bar top seating usually has some open seating available as well.
Ruby Sunshine Hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:00am-2pm
Weekends: 7:00am-3pm
